Privacy Policy

The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below, we provide detailed information about how this website processes personal data.
Company name and exact address as stated in the legal notice.
This offer is aimed exclusively at customers in Switzerland.

1. Processing of personal data 1.1. Visiting our websites

Each time you visit our website, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file, which contains, for example, the name of the URL accessed, the user’s IP address, the date and time of access, the browser used, the amount of data transferred, the HTTP status code, and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the access.

This access data is evaluated exclusively for the purpose of ensuring the smooth operation of the site and improving our offer. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in the correct presentation of our offer, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests.

1.2. Hosting services by third-party providers

Within the scope of processing on our behalf, third-party providers provide us with services for hosting and displaying the websites. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in the correct presentation of our offerings and services, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests.

1.3. Data collection and use for contract processing

We require personal data in the following cases:

  • when placing an order/registering
  • when using our digital products
  • when subscribing to/unsubscribing from newsletters
  • when contacting us
  • in order to be able to offer more convenience and security features in our shops and on our websites

We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us in the context of your order, registration, when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or email) or when opening a customer account. Mandatory fields are marked as such, as in these cases we require the data for contract processing or for processing the contact request or opening the customer account, and without this information the order, registration, and/or account opening cannot be completed or the contact request cannot be sent.

The data collected can be seen in the respective input forms. We use the data transmitted to us in this context for contract processing and handling the same inquiries.

After complete fulfillment of the contract or deletion of a customer account, the associated data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after expiry of the retention periods under tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to further use your data in a manner that is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this statement. You can delete your customer account at any time by sending a message to the contact option described in the legal notice or by using the function provided for this purpose in your customer account.

In addition, we reserve the right to use your first and last name and your postal address for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information about our products by post. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in advertising to our customers, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests.

The advertising mailings are carried out on our behalf by a service provider to whom we pass on your data for this purpose. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described in the imprint.

2. Data transfer to third parties

In order to fulfill the contract, we pass on data to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods.

If you select a payment service provider during the ordering process, we will pass on the payment data collected for this purpose to the payment service provider commissioned with the payment. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves, insofar as you create an account there directly. This means that this data falls within the exclusive data protection responsibility of the payment service providers.

3. Email newsletter

3.1. Email advertising with newsletter subscription
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the relevant data to send you the newsletter on a regular basis.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by sending a message to the contact address provided in the legal notice or by using the link provided for this purpose in the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we will block your email address unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use your data beyond this scope, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this statement.

3.2. Email advertising without newsletter subscription and your right to object
If we receive your email address in connection with the sale of goods, training, or services and you have not objected to this, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers for similar products from our range by email. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in advertising to our customers, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests.

You can object to this use of your email address at any time by sending a message to the contact option described in the data protection section or via a link provided for this purpose in the advertising email. These emails are sent on our behalf by a service provider to whom we pass on the email addresses for this purpose.

When sending emails as described in this section, click behavior in the emails is recorded in order to optimize the structure and content of the newsletter at a later date and thus better meet the information needs of all recipients. We also measure whether and when an email is opened.

4. Cookies and web analytics

4.1. Use of cookies

In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, to display suitable products or for market research, we use so-called cookies on various pages.

This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in an optimized presentation of our offer, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e., after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on the user’s device and enable us to recognize the browser on the next visit (persistent cookies). You can find the duration of storage in the overview in the cookie settings of your web browser. By using our websites, you consent to us setting cookies and thus collecting, storing, and using personal usage data, even beyond the end of the browser session.

You can revoke this consent at any time by excluding the acceptance of cookies in your browser settings and deleting cookies that have already been set. However, if you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited. You can also set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them or to generally exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or certain websites. Each browser differs in the way it manages cookie settings. Further information on cookies and their acceptance or rejection can be found at the following links of the relevant browser providers:

4.2. Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for web analysis

Our website uses the web analytics service Google Analytics from Google Inc., USA. Google Analytics uses cookies (see above). These enable Google in the USA to analyze the use of our website, including IP addresses. We would like to point out that on this website, Google Analytics has been extended by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” to ensure anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). If anonymization is active, Google shortens IP addresses within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, which means that no conclusions can be drawn about your identity. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google complies with the data protection provisions of the Swiss-US Privacy Shield Agreement (www.privacyshield.gov) and thus has an adequate level of data protection. Google uses the collected information to evaluate the use of our websites for us, to compile reports for us in this regard, and to provide us with other related services. For more information, please visit the following link: www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.

The collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google can be prevented by using the browser plug-in available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. Clicking on this link will save an opt-out cookie on your computer, which also prevents Google from analyzing your data. However, this process must be repeated each time the cookies are deleted.

5. Google AdWords and Analytics Remarketing

We use Google AdWords to advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. When you visit our website, Google sets a remarketing cookie, which automatically enables interest-based advertising using a pseudonymous cookie ID and based on the pages you have visited. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in the optimal marketing of our website, which outweigh other interests in the context of a balancing of interests.

Any further data processing only takes place if you have agreed to Google linking your web and app browsing history to your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize the ads you see on the web. In this case, if you are logged into Google while visiting our website, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing. To do this, your personal data will be temporarily linked to Google Analytics data by Google in order to form target groups.

Google AdWords Remarketing is a service provided by Google LLC (www.google.de). Google LLC is headquartered in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed at www.privacyshield.gov. Based on this agreement between the US and the European Commission, the latter has determined that companies certified under the Privacy Shield provide an adequate level of data protection.

You can deactivate the remarketing cookie via https://support.google.com/ads/answer/7395996. In addition, you can find out more about the use of cookies and adjust your settings at the Digital Advertising Alliance (www.aboutads.info).

Further information on Google Remarketing and Google’s privacy policy can be found at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

6. Embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. YouTube is informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.

If you have disabled the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in the provider’s privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=en.

7. Hyperlinks to other websites

Some of our websites contain links to other websites and social networks (e.g. Facebook, XING, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Twitter). We do not monitor these websites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of personal data.

8. Rights, information, and contacts

9. Right to object

If personal data relating to the European Union (EU) is processed in accordance with Art. 3 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of such data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, provided that there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct marketing measures. In the latter case, you have the option of objecting to the use of your data for marketing purposes at any time with effect for the future. Please note that processing may take a few days for technical reasons.

10. SSL encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

When SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

11. Retention period and deletion

We retain personal data for as long as the data subject gives us their consent to do so, as long as it is necessary for the processing of the corresponding legal relationship, and/or as long as it is required by law. After that, the personal data will be deleted in the best possible and most appropriate manner.

12. Changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy will be adapted or amended as far as legally and/or actually necessary.
